GROWTH outdoor Projects – Dec 2021
Children and young people from the CHEXS schools have been volunteering in Cedars Park and Lee Valley to help clear areas so that they can be enjoyed by everyone who visits these beautiful locations. Flower beds have been cleared, overgrown areas cut back and work has started on bringing the willow tunnel at Cedars Park back to its former glory.
Work has also been carried out in school grounds digging over raised vegetables beds, finding the left over ‘treasure’ from the summer that is carrots and onions!
The children and young people have been using leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to work as a team to get the job done.
The CHEXS team are incredibly proud of them all.
