Family Support Service update – Feb 2023
Here is a Family Support service update for Spring term, Our Family Support Team have delivered face to face Anxiety and My Child workshops in all Schools – Primary and Secondary – It was great to see so many parents and carers attending, we had lots of positive discussions from all attendees. Feedback we have received from parents include:
” Very informative session where we have taken some new ideas and got issues off our chest. Thanks for your help.”
“It’s good to know, I am not alone, thank you so much.”
Due to parent requests, we will be delivering Boundaries, Routines and Behaviour workshops within all Schools.
At the Family Support Sessions, we continue to hold Coffee mornings, this is a chance for parents and carers to come along to speak to the Family Support Team for advice and a chat. We also invite partners along such as, SPACE, to enable parents to discuss any concerns they may be experiencing with children with SEN. Please look out for dates within your school or alternatively speak to one of the team at the school gate. We meet and greet at school gates on a regular basis, do come and say hello to us, it’s great to chat to so many parents and get to know you all.
Our popular Spring Craft sessions start at Holdbrook school on Tuesday 28th February and continue in all Primary Schools until 23rd March – look out for the dates at your School. These sessions are for all families to come together to make a variety of crafts. Please note all places MUST be booked by emailing admin@chexs.co.uk.
Parent hub – Real Talk has really taken off, this is a two weekly parent session giving parents and carers the opportunity to come along, chat over a coffee and biscuits and discuss what’s happening locally and how CHEXS can support the local Community. Your voice really makes a difference. Click here to read more. Our next session will be the 8th March.
