Family Support Service update – May 2023
For our Family Support service update – May 2023, we wanted to tell you some more about what we have been up to.
We are delighted we have a new member of the Family Support Team – Mariam joined us on 2nd May, she is an experienced practitioner who has a wealth of knowledge and experience, she will be a great addition to our team
We have all been busy during the Spring term –
Continued to deliver face to face Boundaries, Routines and Behaviour workshops in all Schools. These were very well attended which enabled plenty of peer on peer discussions. Some feedback from parents included:
“ This has been such a good workshop, so interactive and great ideas, thankyou”
“We found this workshop so useful, it was good to have group discussion. It felt good to know you are not on your own.”
“I found this session so helpful, really enjoyed the group discussion, sharing tips of what works, thank you so much”
Meeting families in our community.
Meet and greet at the School gates, please come and say hello if you see us.
We have and been out and about supporting community events such as Coronation Celebration day at Cedars Park, it was lovely to meet people coming up to have a chat and asking for advice.
Parenting support and workshops
Please look out for Transition workshops in your schools later this term. The Transition workshop is to support parents of children transitioning from Primary to Secondary school. admin@chexs.co.uk.
Parent hub – Real Talk has really taken off, this is a two weekly parent session giving parents and carers the opportunity to come along, chat over a coffee and biscuits and discuss what’s happening locally and how CHEXS can support the local Community. Your voice really makes a difference. Click here to read more. Our next session will be the 17th May.
