Celebrating Achievement at the CHEXS AGM 2025
Our annual AGM is always a special moment in the CHEXS calendar and this year we were incredibly proud to shine a light on the amazing individuals who make our charity the inspiring community it is. The AGM gives us a chance to celebrate the dedication, resilience and achievements of those who give their time, passion and support to help children, young people and families thrive. This year’s award winners reflect the heart of CHEXS. They are people who show positive values every day and help others grow in confidence and wellbeing.
CHEXS Partner of the Year 2025
We were delighted to present CHEXS Partner of the Year 2025 to Greg Crouch. Greg of Stonehouse Finance, whose generosity and commitment have made a meaningful difference to CHEXS. Greg has been a regular monthly donor through his business and this year he went even further by running a stall at our Family Fun Day and kindly donating all proceeds to the charity. We want to express our heartfelt thanks for his continued support and generosity. We deeply appreciate everything Greg does for CHEXS and are honoured to recognise him with this award.
CHEXS Volunteer of the Year 2025
The CHEXS Volunteer of the Year 2025 award went to Emma Jeeves, Since 2018, Emma has been a dedicated volunteer with CHEXS, supporting our flagship events, working alongside the team on stalls, and engaging with the public. We want to thank her for her continued commitment and the invaluable support she has given over the years and will continue to bring to future events. Emma, thank you for being a part of the CHEXS family and congratulations on this well deserved award.
Dave Hewitt Award 2025
The Dave Hewitt Award 2025, named in honour of an inspirational CHEXS supporter, was presented to Jack Smits. Jack has shown extraordinary perseverance and positivity towards our charity.
Since 2023 Jack and Ashbourne Insurance have a been a major supporter of CHEXS. Nominating us as their charity of the year over multiple years. This year in particular was HUGE, Jack and the team held a moving Charity Golf Day in memory of their founder, Richard Hunt but it was Jack Smits, their Business Development Manager, who brought the whole event to life. 00 going to CHEXS. Jack’s personal commitment made all the difference, from rallying sponsors and supporters to creating a day that truly honoured Richard’s legacy. The CHEXS team were proud to be there alongside Jack, and we’re thrilled to hear plans are already underway to bring the event back in 2026.
CHEXS Specialist Award 2025
Our CHEXS Specialist Award 2025 was awarded to Sam Mackay at KeepaBeat. Since 2021, KeepaBeat has been a trusted partner in delivering vital First Aid training to our school staff. During this time, Sam has been consistently helpful, friendly and accommodating. The training provided meets high standards and regularly receives outstanding feedback from attendees. Schools truly value having access to such a reliable and professional training resource. Tonight, we are proud to recognise KeepaBeat as our Specialist Award recipient.
CHEXS Fundraiser Award 2025
The CHEXS Fundraiser Award 2025 was presented to Jenny Pedley. On 27th April 2025, Jenny Pedley took on the London Marathon for CHEXS. Running 26.2 miles in sweltering 23-degree heat, Jenny crossed the finish line in 6 hours and 23 minutes, one of over 55,000 runners.
She also became CHEXS’ biggest ever individual fundraiser, raising an incredible
£4,384. Her efforts went far beyond race day. She organised a fantastic Race Night and encouraged her school, Fairfields, to hold a non-uniform day to boost donations. Jenny’s dedication, energy and creativity made a huge impact, and we were so proud to have her representing CHEXS.
CHEXS Parent Award 2025
This year we also recognised two wonderful parents. Congratulations to Angelina and Cassie, recipients of the CHEXS Parent Award 2025. Both have shown remarkable strength and dedication. Their positive engagement in our programmes has supported not only their own families but also the wider community.
Youth Awards 2025
One of the most inspiring sections of the AGM is always the Youth Awards. These awards celebrate young people who have shown outstanding growth, resilience, kindness and personal achievement. We are incredibly proud of every one of them. Congratulations to Sienna, Adib, Beau, Charlie RR, Albert, Freya, George, Alfie, Antoni, Lila Rose, Ronnie, Charlie C, Luca, Gracie and Lexi. Each of these young people has displayed strength of character, teamwork, leadership or personal progress that deserves recognition. They represent everything CHEXS stands for and we cannot wait to see what they do next.
CHEXS AGM 2025
This year’s AGM felt especially memorable. We were honoured to welcome Dame Alison Peacock, Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, who champions excellent practice and supports educators across the UK. We were also joined by Michael Blake from Google, who works to support innovative digital learning and community engagement. Their presence made the evening truly special. We were delighted that Google were also filming our AGM as part of their ongoing interest in the impact of community charities. Their support helped shine an even brighter light on the amazing people who make CHEXS what it
