Celebrating a Fantastic Academic Year
As another successful academic year comes to a close, our Children and Young People Team has been reflecting on the incredible programmes, partnerships and achievements that have made this year so special.
Working alongside our partner schools and communities, we’ve had the privilege of supporting children and young people to build confidence, develop new skills and create lasting memories. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from the summer term.
Inspiring Young Minds Through Google Workshops
This term saw the exciting return of our Google Computer Science Workshops for schools on our Silver Subscription.
These interactive sessions have given even more children the opportunity to explore technology in a fun and engaging way. From problem solving and coding concepts to developing digital skills, pupils have embraced the chance to learn through hands-on activities that encourage creativity, teamwork and curiosity.
Helping children develop confidence with technology is an important part of preparing them for the future, and it has been wonderful to see so many young people enjoying these sessions.
Celebrating Success with Our Growth Programme
One of the proudest moments of the term has been hosting our Growth Programme Badge Assemblies across our partner schools.
These special celebrations recognise the dedication, resilience and kindness shown by the children taking part in the programme. Each badge awarded represents far more than an achievement. It reflects the confidence, leadership, teamwork and personal growth that children have developed throughout the year.
Watching pupils receive recognition in front of their peers, teachers and families has been a wonderful reminder of the positive impact the Growth Programme continues to have on young people’s lives.
Building Connections Through Our Intergenerational Project
Our Intergenerational Project continues to be one of the most rewarding parts of the year.
Bringing together young people with older members of our local community creates opportunities for meaningful conversations, shared experiences and lasting friendships. Throughout the project, participants have enjoyed games, storytelling, creative activities and plenty of laughter.
These sessions not only help reduce loneliness and isolation but also encourage understanding, empathy and respect between generations. Seeing the genuine friendships that develop is always one of the highlights of our year.
Listening to Our Partner Schools
As the academic year draws to a close, we’ve also taken the opportunity to meet with our partner schools to reflect on the impact of this year’s programmes.
These conversations allow us to celebrate successes, gather valuable feedback and explore new ideas for the future. Working closely with schools ensures our projects continue to meet the changing needs of children, young people and their wider communities.
We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and collaboration from every school we work alongside.
Thank you for being part of the CHEXS journey. We can’t wait to see what the next academic year brings!
