Jada Palmer – Family support Lead

(Specialism parenting)

Hi, I’m Jada Palmer, and here’s a little bit about me.
I’m a Family Support Worker with a background in Sociology, having graduated from university in Birmingham. Following this, I worked as a Health and Wellbeing Coach within child weight management services across Hertfordshire. In this role, I led a 1-to-1 programme supporting families with challenges around food, routines, and SEND, helping them to build healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.

Alongside this, I expanded my work into colleges, where I took the lead in youth delivery. In this I delivered 8-week programmes focused on health and wellbeing across a range of settings, working closely with young people to build confidence, resilience, and positive habits. Through these experiences, I developed strong, meaningful relationships with both young people and their families, which is something I truly value. Being able to connect, understand their individual needs, and support them over time has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey so far.

These experiences inspired me to want to do more, which led me to CHEXS. Their values closely reflect my own, especially going the “Xtra Mile”—as I am passionate about providing the best support possible and making a real difference in people’s lives.

I would describe my approach as supportive, enthusiastic, and calm. I believe in working together with families to find solutions that feel right for them, creating a safe and understanding space where people feel heard and supported every step of the way
