Jessica Nunn – CHEXS Children and young people support worker
Hi, I’m Jess, and I’m really excited to be joining the CHEXS Children and Young People team as a Child and Young Person Support Worker.
I’ve always had a real passion for helping children and young people, and I believe that every young person has the potential to achieve great things when they have the right support, encouragement and someone who believes in them. I’m looking forward to getting to know the young people I work with, helping them build their confidence, recognise their strengths, and overcome any obstacles that may be standing in their way.
My own experience with judo has played a big part in shaping my passion for working with young people. Judo taught me so much about resilience, determination, perseverance, and the importance of getting back up when things don’t go the way you hoped. I also had the opportunity to help coach younger children at my club, which I really enjoyed. Seeing their confidence grow and being able to encourage them from an early age made me realise how rewarding it is to make a positive difference in a young person’s life.
That’s something I’m really looking forward to bringing to my role at CHEXS. I love the way CHEXS gives children and young people opportunities to discover what they’re capable of, build resilience and confidence, develop their aspirations and, most importantly, feel supported along the way.
I’m excited to be part of a team that is helping young people feel happier, more confident, and positive about their future. I hope to be someone they can trust, talk to and have fun with, while encouraging them to believe in themselves and celebrate every achievement, big or small.
I’m really looking forward to starting this journey with CHEXS and making a difference in the lives of the children and young people we support.
