Laurence Woodhall – Family support worker

Hi, I’m Laurence, and I’m proud to be working as a Family Support Worker with CHEXS. I work with schools across the area to offer support to parents and families around a variety of issues.

I have over 15 years of experience in children’s services, including residential care, supervised contact, and intensive family support. I’ve also worked as a Therapeutic Children’s Practitioner within a fostering team, supporting foster families and children who have experienced significant trauma.

I’ve completed specialist training in ARC (Attachment, Regulation and Competency), Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), and Protected Behaviours, all of which help me take a therapeutic and empathetic approach to the work I do with families.

I’m easy going, approachable, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, especially during challenging times.

Outside of work, I’m a qualified football coach and referee, and I spend most of my weekends playing and watching football with my family, we’re football mad!
Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like a chat or need support, I’m here to help.
