CHEXS Family Support – A Warm and Welcoming Term
Real Conversations. Real Connection.
This term, our CHEXS Family Support team has been busy out and about, supporting families, listening to concerns, and offering a warm space to talk things through.
From school gates to coffee tables, our Real Talk Parent Hub sessions continue to be a highlight. It’s been so heart warming to sit down with parents and carers over a cuppa, offering a safe space to share challenges and celebrate wins. We’re always here to listen, feel free to drop in any time!
Family Coffee Drop-Ins and School Gate Chats
Our family support sessions have been well attended across our partner schools. Whether it’s at the school gate or at our drop-in hubs, we’ve had countless meaningful conversations with parents, carers, grandparents, and even staff.
These informal moments often spark the most important conversations, where a small chat leads to a big breakthrough. Our presence at the school gates is more than a check-in, it’s a commitment to connection, trust, and community care.
Community Resources and Practical Support
Alongside our face-to-face support, the CHEXS family support team has been working hard behind the scenes to keep families informed. We’ve promoted free meals and local holiday activities via social media to ensure no family misses out on valuable community support.
We’ve also continued rolling out our Family Top Tips sessions to schools, helping parents with simple, practical advice for everyday family life. Our recent Lunch & Learn session was on recognising SEN in your child, it was a huge success with a high level of attendees, the feedback we received was so heart warming. Our family service team put on these sessions, giving parents a relaxed setting to pick up tips and ask questions. Our next sessions are available to book on Eventbrite.
Join the Conversation – Next Real Talk: 4TH June @ 1pm
Our next Real Talk Parent Hub session takes place on 4th June at 1pm. We’d love for you to join us. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, there’s always space for a new voice at the table.
