CHEXS Children and Young People Support Worker

 Could you help a child discover their potential?

At CHEXS, we believe every child and young person has strengths, talents and aspirations waiting to be unlocked.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and proactive Children and Young People Support Worker to join our award-winning team. This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of children, young people and families facing barriers to achievement, wellbeing and positive life opportunities.

Through our GROWTH Programme, outdoor projects, mentoring, one-to-one support and community activities, you will help children build confidence, resilience, self-esteem and positive aspirations for the future.

No two days are the same. One day you may be supporting a young person to achieve a personal goal, the next leading an outdoor team-building activity, working alongside schools and partner agencies, or helping a family access the support they need.

What we offer

• Starting salary of £28,517 per annum
• Structured pay progression linked to performance
• 6% employer pension contribution
• Additional financial compensation for outdoor project delivery
• 25 days annual leave plus public holidays

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children, young people and families
• Can build positive and trusting relationships
• Is confident working independently and as part of a team
• Has a passion for helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential
• Is comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
• Has a full driving licence and access to a vehicle
