CHEXS Administrator – Alison Sutton

I’m Alison Sutton and my role as CHEXS Administrator provides support to the Office Manager, the CEO and the wider team. I am usually the first contact for new referrals from schools or any other enquiries to the office.

The Administrator Role
My role is extremely varied, which I love!
On any given day I could be inputting new referrals on to our database as well as contacting schools regarding upcoming activities. I could also be helping to produce posters to promote what we do. I really enjoy how diverse my role is. It means that every day is different, and it’s always interesting!

Annual Events
Another part of my role is helping to organise our annual community events. I’m currently enjoying working on these for the first time. I’ve been liaising with stallholders and getting everything ready for our Easter Hunt Event. It’ll be exciting to see the local community come together and have a great time. Plus this is a great opportunity for CHEXS to fundraise for our wonderful charity!

Previous Career
I worked in Marketing for 10 years. I then had identical twin boys, so took four years out of work to spend time with them. It was great to have that time at home, but joining CHEXS has allowed me get back into the world of work. The job is flexible, which works around home life perfectly.

Life at CHEXS
I have worked at CHEXS for 6 months now, and really enjoy working with a group of such passionate people. Everyone really does go above and beyond to support the families in our local community. My colleagues are always so positive and supportive, and have welcomed me warmly to the team.
I feel really proud to work for a charity that makes such a difference, and I feel lucky to be able to contribute to that.
